Hi and thank you for checking out my info page. My name is Mr. Greg Thoms, and I have been teaching in Plano School District 88 for 20 years as of 2009-2010. I teach third grade at Centennial School. I believe that education should be meaningful, but yet fun. It is okay to laugh in school. :-) Children should look forward to coming to school each day. School should be a place to meet, explore, invent, and develop skills.
I was raised in Earlville, Illinois and went for my Associates degree at Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Illinois. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. I am married to Mrs. Andrea Thoms, who teaches second grade at Centennial School. We have three children, one each in 6th grade, 3rd grade, and kindergarten. My hobbies are running, art, reading, walking, and Daddying.
